In a series of thefts that spanned several months, a man from Baltimore is accused of stealing lawn equipment worth nearly $50, 000 from well-known home improvement stores. The suspect, aged 38, faces serious charges, including felony theft, in Baltimore County Circuit Court. His brother was also arrested and charged after a tense standoff during an April theft in Cockeysville, where nearly $18, 000 worth of lawn mowers were stolen.

The suspect's alleged crime spree began in February and continued until April. During this time, he is accused of stealing at least 23 large pieces of machinery from Home Depot stores in the Baltimore area. The thefts were not simple smash-and-grab jobs; the suspect allegedly cut locks and cables to remove the merchandise. In June, his alleged criminal activities took a different turn when he was accused of stealing smaller items, such as fence posts and Char-Broil grills, from a Lowe’s store in Woodlawn.

The suspect was arrested in September and posted a $10, 000 bond. He has since requested jury trials for his cases, according to the Maryland Judiciary. The brother's involvement in the April theft adds another layer to this complex case.
