Way up in the sky, something odd is going on. The air is getting warmer in the stratosphere, which is a big deal. This event is called a Sudden Stratospheric Warming (SSW). It can make the polar vortex, a cold air whirlwind, wobble. This could mean big changes for Michigan's weather in December.

Normally, the polar vortex keeps cold air stuck near the North Pole. But during an SSW, the vortex can weaken. This might let cold air escape and head south. So, Michigan might see some wild weather swings. It could get colder or snowier than usual.

Meanwhile, in other news, a police officer in Sterling Heights saved a baby's life. Officer Edwar Talia rushed to a Walmart and helped a 5-month-old who was choking. His quick actions made a big difference.
