But recently, a few brave souls have started to push back.

Take the Epstein files, for example. Trump promised to release them if elected, but once in office, he did everything he could to keep them hidden. The FBI found his name all over the files, and Trump didn't want that information out there. But when a House vote was scheduled, and even far-right legislators like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert supported the release, Trump had to change his tune. Suddenly, he was all for releasing the files, likely after scrubbing them clean.

This isn't the only issue where Trump has done a 180. During the government shutdown, he refused to help people facing high premiums for ACA medical coverage. But after the Democrats won the elections, he started talking about extending subsidies. It's like he suddenly remembered that helping people is part of his job.

And let's not forget the tariffs. Trump has been claiming they're great for families, but after the elections, he quietly lowered tariffs on over 200 food products. It's almost like he's learning that sometimes, you have to back down to get what you want.

These changes might just give more Republican lawmakers the courage to stand up for their constituents instead of just following Trump's orders. Maybe, just maybe, the TACO policy is teaching them a thing or two about compromise.
