In fact, 70% of the babies in the study could face health problems from the uranium in their mothers' milk. The district of Katihar had the highest levels of uranium in breastmilk.

This is not just a problem for Bihar. Uranium contamination in groundwater is a issue in many parts of India. But what can be done? For one, more research is needed to understand the full extent of the problem. Also, steps should be taken to make sure that the water people drink is safe.
