2024: A Year of Entertainment Highs and Lows

2024 was truly one of a kind. Whether it was the thrill of movies like Challengers and Dune: Part Two in theaters, or the excitement of new video game adaptations like Arcane and Prime’s Fallout show, there was something for everyone. Genre films had a fantastic year, with standout performances in horror, action, and science fiction. On the small screen, Shōgun raised the bar for TV storytelling, leaving others to play catch-up. Anime fans were treated to new seasons of big-name shows, while fresh series quickly gathered dedicated followings. The book and tabletop game scene also flourished, offering plenty to keep us engaged well into 2025. But not everything was perfect.
