2026 Actor Awards: Who's in the Running?

The 2026 Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards, have unveiled their nominees. Leading the pack in film nominations is "One Battle After Another" with seven nods, including a nod for best stunt ensemble. "Sinners" follows closely with five nominations, also scoring a stunt ensemble nod. "Frankenstein, " "Hamnet, " and "Marty Supreme" each received three nominations, with "Frankenstein" being the only one to secure a stunt nomination. The top prize for best cast in film is highly contested, with "Frankenstein, " "Hamnet, " "Marty Supreme, " "One Battle After Another, " and "Sinners" all vying for the title. On the small screen, "The Studio" leads with five nominations, trailed by "Adolescence" and "The White Lotus" with four each. Notably, none of these TV shows received stunt nominations. The nominees for best comedy series ensemble include "Abbott Elementary, " "The Bear, " "Hacks, " "Only Murders in the Building, " and "The Studio. " For best drama series ensemble, the contenders are "The Diplomat, " "Landman, " "The Pitt, " "Severance, " and "The White Lotus. "Connor Storrie from "Heated Rivalry" and Janelle James from "Abbott Elementary" announced the nominees in a livestream on Netflix's YouTube channel. Additionally, Harrison Ford is set to receive the life achievement award this year. The SAG Awards rebranded as the Actor Awards in November, with showrunner Jon Brockett and JoBeth Williams explaining the change as a natural evolution of the show. The name change aims to better reflect the show's focus on honoring actors in film and television. The nominations were announced a year after the devastating Palisades and Eaton fires in Los Angeles. SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin acknowledged the impact of the fires on the community. Last year, "Conclave" won the best cast award, while Timothée Chalamet and Demi Moore took home the best actor and actress awards, respectively. On the TV side, "Shogun" won best TV ensemble drama, and "Only Murders in the Building" won best comedy ensemble. The 2026 Actor Awards will be streamed live on Netflix from the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 1.
