49ers Bounce Back with Big Win Over Cowboys on SNF

Santa Clara, USAMon Oct 28 2024
The San Francisco 49ers proved they know how to turn things around. Just like in the past, when they started out slow and finished strong, they did it again Sunday night. This time, it was against the Dallas Cowboys. With a exciting 30-24 victory, the 49ers improved their record to 4-4 and tied for the lead in the NFC West. The Cowboys, unfortunately, fell to 3-4. The game was full of twists. The 49ers opened the second half with three straight touchdowns after trailing 10-6 at halftime. They dominated, leading 27-10 and then 30-17. But the Cowboys didn't give up easily. They fought back, making it a nerve-wracking finish. Brock Purdy, the 49ers' quarterback, had a great night. He threw 18 out of 26 passes for 260 yards, scoring a touchdown. Tight end George Kittle caught six passes for 128 yards and a touchdown. Rookie Isaac Guerendo also shone, rushing for 85 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries. On the other side, Cowboys' quarterback Dak Prescott tried to lead a comeback, but it wasn’t his night. He threw four incomplete passes, including a drop by KaVontae Turpin. In the end, the 49ers held on to win. Deommodore Lenoir and Ji’Ayir Brown grabbed interceptions for the 49ers, and Nick Bosa got one of the team's two sacks. It was a night of crucial plays that led to their much-needed win.
