A $100 Million Film Finance Push Starts With Project Checks

Oceanfront Film Finance and Allegro Finance are opening a new financing lane for film and television projects. They are starting with a $100 million pool for productions that meet their requirements. The deal is meant to give more projects access to money, but it will not be an automatic yes for every pitch. Each request will get its own review.

Oceanfront will handle production and financing work. Allegro will offer funding tied to production-related collateral, including tax incentives, rebates, and pre-sales. Allegro will serve as Oceanfront’s top-choice partner for senior secured production loans. The London-based lender was founded by Jamie Lowe, Peter Touche, and Sam Collett. Its team brings experience from structured credit, investment banking, and film and television finance, while operating as a non-bank lender focused on senior loans.

FailSafe Analytics, Oceanfront’s proprietary due diligence system, will guide the project-by-project decisions. It checks potential film and television productions across several underwriting areas before they can be considered for financing. Oceanfront can also choose to invest while it studies budgets and individual productions. The U.S.-based platform expects to start putting its equity capital to work later this year.

Oceanfront is led by Dan Sheldon and Roger Goff. Roger Goff co-founded FailSafe Analytics with Randy Goff, who designed the FailSafe software. Sheldon is a producer and former talent agent. In recent years, he has played a role in film financings totaling $250 million. Oceanfront works on development, packaging, production, and financing for entertainment content with commercial potential.
