A Golfer's Tough Day at the Evian Championship
Evian-les-Bains, FranceThu Jul 10 2025
Charley Hull, a top-ranked golfer, had a rough day at the Evian Championship in France. She suddenly collapsed on the fourth hole while playing with two other skilled golfers, Ruoning Yin and Haeran Ryu. Hull, who is usually very strong, had to leave the game because she wasn't feeling well.
Before she could even hit her tee shot, Hull felt unwell and went down on the grass. The officials quickly helped her and let the other players go ahead. After a short break to get some medical help, Hull tried to play again but collapsed once more after her shot. She was then taken off the course on a special cart.
Hull, who is 29 years old, has been dealing with a virus for a while. Even though she is a two-time LPGA winner, she hasn't won a major championship yet. This year, she did well in two big tournaments, finishing in the top 12. But this day was not her best.
It's a reminder that even the strongest athletes can have bad days. Sometimes, health issues can pop up unexpectedly. It's important to take care of yourself, especially when you're competing at a high level.
