A New Addition to the Vance Family

Usha Vance, the spouse of Vice President JD Vance, has shared exciting news. She is expecting her fourth child, a boy, due in late July. Her social media update confirmed that both she and the baby are healthy. The Vance family already includes three children: Ewan, Vivek, and Mirabel. Usha, now 40, grew up in San Diego, California. Her parents, a mechanical engineer and a molecular biologist, moved to the US from Andhra Pradesh, India.Before becoming second lady, Usha had a successful legal career. She worked as a corporate litigator in San Francisco and also assisted conservative judges, including Chief Justice John Roberts and Judge Brett Kavanaugh. Usha Vance is making history as the first second lady to have a baby while in office. Other first ladies, like Frances Cleveland, have had children while their husbands were president. JD Vance has been vocal about his desire for higher birth rates in the US. In 2025, he stated, "I want more babies in the United States of America.
