Keyes Hill-Edgar is stepping down from his role as Chief Operating Officer at Paramount Media Networks and Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. This move comes as part of a larger shift in leadership following Skydance's acquisition of Paramount Global. Hill-Edgar has been a key player in the media industry for over two decades. His career began at Shearman & Sterling, where he worked on the Viacom/CBS merger. This experience led him to join Viacom, where he held various legal and business affairs positions. During his tenure, Hill-Edgar oversaw business planning, operations, and strategy for content developed by Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. He also managed the brands of Paramount Media Networks, including MTV, Showtime, Comedy Central, and others. One of his notable achievements was securing a five-year deal with the creators of South Park, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. This deal included an exclusive streaming agreement for the show on Paramount+. Parker publicly thanked Hill-Edgar for his role in this partnership. Hill-Edgar also worked closely with talent like Taylor Sheridan. Sheridan credited Hill-Edgar with convincing him to produce the Yellowstone prequel, 1883, quickly so it could launch on the rebranded Paramount+. In his farewell note, Hill-Edgar reflected on his journey, acknowledging his long-time boss Chris McCarthy, Mike Fricklas, and his executive assistant, Myrna Sterling. He expressed gratitude for the opportunities and support he received during his 25-year career at Viacom/Paramount.
