Tetra Tech, a big name in water and environment services, just added a new member to their board. M. Susan Hardwick, who recently stepped down as CEO of American Water, will now be part of Tetra Tech's team. She starts her new role on December 29, 2025. Her job will include working on the Audit Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee.
Hardwick is no stranger to big responsibilities. She has spent over 35 years leading companies in water and energy. At American Water, she was the boss of 6, 500 employees who served 14 million people across 24 states. Before that, she was the Chief Financial Officer, handling money matters and planning.
Dan Batrack, the Chairman and CEO of Tetra Tech, is excited about Hardwick joining. He thinks her experience in water utilities and financial planning will be a big plus for the company. Tetra Tech is expanding its services globally, and Hardwick's knowledge will help them understand their clients better.
Hardwick also works with New Jersey Resources Corporation, an energy company. She started her career at Arthur Andersen, where she learned about accounting and regulations. She studied Accounting at Indiana University Bloomington.
Tetra Tech is known for its work in water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure. With over 25, 000 employees, they tackle big problems with science-based solutions. They focus on the entire water cycle, environmental protection, and building sustainable infrastructure.
