A Showdown You Can't Miss: What to Watch for in Eagles vs. Chiefs

New Orleans, USASun Feb 09 2025
Super Bowl LIX is just around the corner. This time it’s the Philadelphia Eagles facing off against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs aren’t bad at stopping the run, but they will be challenged by the Eagles. This is why the Eagles haven’t given up trying to use the run so they can win in the most efficient way. Predictions:Barkley is a beast. His best game in the past saw 36 carries in a single game, this game he might not need that many but if he does, the Eagles should use the opportunity. Ciccone’s Defence ruling is risky. That’s because it’s a risk to give someone that much power. Carter did it before. The Eagles fought against the Arizona Cardinals and were victorious with this strategy. The Eagles must go for the big plays. Easier said than done. The Eagles are in a really good spot right now. Nick Sirianni needs to use this to his advantage. Jalen Hurts is a big game. It’s a lot of pressure to be on such a big stage. But he’s experienced and knows how to use it to his advantage. He’s the key player for the Eagles. The Eagles need their offensive line. They need to be strong. It’s vital. Nolan Smith is the key player for this. If the Eagles don't win, it could be because of their blitzing. It’s a risk but often the potential for greater reward overcomes small risk. The Eagles have a problem with their offense. Not much of an issue though, the backfield has been pretty solid with scoring some great teammates. Chances are Vic’s defense could be weak. Vic Fangio could be the weak link, especially against Mahomes. Vic’s had 8 games against Mahomes but has only won once. Brandon Graham's career has been stellar. It will be heartbreaking if the Eagles must face a close season without Graham on the field. The Eagles have a certain advantage with Dak Prescot. Travis Kelce might be injury prone. Goedert also has had up and down games. This could be the best game of the Super Bowl!

questions

Could the Eagles be intentionally sabotaging their own efforts for some strategic reason that wouldn't be initially suspect from fans booing inside the venue.
How might the psychological impact of previous Super Bowl losses influence Jalen Hurts' performance?
Is there enough understanding of the downside of Steve Spaguolo's gameplan for the Eagles offensive line vsn terms of preventing the interior offensive line
