A Violent Night in Philadelphia: 11 Shot at a Bar
Philadelphia, USASat Jul 05 2025
Early Saturday morning, a peaceful Fourth of July celebration turned into a nightmare in Philadelphia. At around 4am, gunfire erupted at 7 Elements bar, leaving 11 people injured. The bar, located on the second floor of a shopping center, was closed by the time police arrived. They had to force their way in to ensure no one else was hurt inside.
The victims, four women and seven men, were rushed to nearby hospitals. Two of them, a security guard and a woman, are in critical condition. The guard was shot in the face, while the woman was shot in the back. Others suffered non-life-threatening injuries to their legs, arms, and other parts of their bodies.
Police found bullet casings on the upper floor and staircase of the bar. They closed off the plaza to search for evidence. It's still unclear how many shooters were involved, and no arrests have been made yet. The motive behind the shooting remains a mystery.
This incident marks the largest shooting in Philadelphia since Memorial Day. Back then, two people were killed, and nine were injured in Fairmount Park. Police believe at least five guns were fired during that shooting. The city has seen too much violence lately, and it's time to ask why.
