A Wonderland-style hangout spot is coming to Downtown Atlanta
The Center, CNN Atlanta, USAWed Jun 03 2026
Downtown Atlanta is getting a new spot that feels like stepping into a storybook. A team known for mixing food, drinks, and games is turning part of the old CNN Center into an Alice in Wonderland-themed venue called The Looking Glass. Construction starts after the 2026 World Cup, with plans to open in early 2027. At 28, 000 square feet, it’s big enough to get lost in—literally. The space will feature carnival games, confusing optical illusions, challenge rooms, bowling lanes, and board games. There’s even a scavenger hunt-style adventure where visitors piece together clues to uncover parts of the story at their own pace.
The menu keeps things playful too, with small plates like spicy tuna bites and lemon pepper shrimp, plus sweets like beignets and raspberry macarons. It’s not just about eating—it’s about experiencing something different. The venue joins a growing list of new attractions in The Center, a once-empty building that’s being transformed into a lively mixed-use space. Plans include a food hall, apartments, a hotel, and even a temporary World Cup exhibit before the big tournament.
This isn’t the only new dining option in the area. A high-end steakhouse is moving into the ground floor, and a food hall called CTR Food Works is set to open soon with over a dozen food and drink stalls. The whole project is part of a bigger push to make downtown Atlanta a destination for more than just work. With so many new spots popping up, the city’s skyline isn’t the only thing changing.
