Accor’s Strong Quarter: Revenue Up, Bookings Steady
Accor said its outlook got brighter after a solid quarter. Quarterly revenue hit roughly €1.5 billion, up close to 10% from the previous year. That figure includes the effect of normal currency rates. The company also nudged up the lower end of its full‑year recurring EBITDA target.
Bookings in France held firm despite some recent unrest. A Celine Dion tour, a papal visit and several trade shows gave the market a boost in September. Even though a few last‑minute cancellations happened, overall occupancy stayed strong. The CFO said the French segment stayed resilient.
Middle East demand bounced back in Q3. The Iran conflict softened activity in the UAE, but Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Turkey added more guests. RevPAR climbed 4.9% year‑over‑year, showing a recovery in the region. In Europe, RevPAR rose 2.5% thanks to higher room prices.
Accor lifted the bottom of its EBITDA guidance to €1.27‑1.285 billion. It also trimmed its network growth goal to 3.0%‑3.5%. The quarter saw 63 new hotels and about 9,000 rooms added. Its future room pipeline grew 9.5% to exceed 273,000 rooms.
