AI in HR Makes Workers Happier and Stays Longer

BangladeshSat Sep 26 2026

Researchers examined AI‑enabled HR tools in 61 companies across Bangladesh. They surveyed 487 full‑time employees from these firms at two moments, five weeks apart. The first round captured perceptions of the technology, while the second round measured outcomes such as satisfaction, engagement, performance, wellbeing and turnover intent.

The data revealed that AI‑driven HR practices raised job satisfaction, kept workers more engaged, improved performance metrics and boosted overall wellbeing. At the same time, employees reported a lower desire to quit their jobs.

These benefits happened because staff felt they fit better with the organization and because they felt more empowered when they trusted the system and were not worried about privacy. When trust is weak or privacy concerns are high, the positive impact shrinks.

The study used a two‑stage structural equation modeling approach with bias‑corrected bootstrapping on 5,000 resamples to test the paths. It treated technology trust and privacy worry as boundary conditions that shape the relationship between AI HR tools and employee outcomes.
