AI's Thanksgiving Feast: A Look at the Digital Dinner Party
USAFri Nov 28 2025
Thanksgiving this year wasn't just about turkey and pie. It was also about AI creating funny and realistic family photos. People used AI to make pictures of themselves eating with famous people. For example, someone made a picture of RFK Jr. eating Brussels sprouts and cranberries with Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr. , and Elon Musk. Another picture showed Alex Jones cooking a turkey with Sydney Sweeney. And a crypto influencer named Tiffany Fong was pictured carving a turkey next to Jackie Chan.
One person, Daniel Newman, the CEO of a tech research group called Futurum, shared pictures of himself eating with tech leaders like Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Satya Nadella, Tim Cook, and Jensen Huang. He even included Jensen Huang twice. Newman said, \"Seriously…AI is too much. \" He was amazed by how realistic the pictures looked.
AI companies also used Thanksgiving to show off their new updates. OpenAI's Sora shared videos of an animated turkey, and Topaz Labs restored old footage from the 1940s Macy's Day Parade. But the biggest news was the launch of Google Gemini's new AI model, Nano Banana Pro. This new model could create very realistic images. People compared pictures made by the old and new versions and were amazed by the difference.
Nano Banana Pro even created pictures of tech CEOs partying together. It was a busy week for AI! As you sit down with your family this Thanksgiving, it might be a good time to talk about how to spot AI-generated images. Who knows how long these tips will be relevant?
