Alan Wake 2's DLC Connects to Control's Future

New York, USAFri Oct 25 2024
Alan Wake 2's latest downloadable content, The Lake House, has a cool surprise for fans of Remedy Entertainment's other game, Control. This DLC lets players explore a Federal Bureau of Control research facility as agent Kiran Estevez. While playing, you might notice a sneak peek into what's coming next in Control. The Lake House seems to hint at the events of Control 2, which is currently in development with Annapurna Interactive. In a special scene, Estevez travels to the Oceanview Motel from Alan Wake 2's New York, then ends up in Control's Oldest House. There, she meets Dylan Faden, the brother of Control's main character, Jesse. This meeting gives us a clue about what's going to happen in Control 2. It looks like the Hiss might be breaking free and causing trouble in New York City. Remedy first mentioned Control 2 back in 2022. The game director, Mikael Kasurinen, said it would be an "unexpected journey" and that fans should be ready for a wait. Recently, Remedy also revealed a new game called FBC: Firebreak. This is a three-player cooperative shooter set in the Federal Bureau of Control. It's coming to PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X in 2025. Both Alan Wake 2 and Control have been praised as some of the best games of their years. Alan Wake 2 was one of the top games of 2023, while Control topped the list in 2019.
