As President Joe Biden wraps up his term, many Americans don't seem too happy with his performance. A recent poll shows that only about one-quarter of U. S. adults think Biden was a good or great president. That's not so hot compared to former Presidents Donald Trump and Barack Obama. It's like people are saying, "Meh, could have been better. " What's interesting is that while many folks think Biden was merely average, they also don't seem to think he made good on his promises. Only about 2 in 10 people believe he kept his campaign pledges, with many saying he tried but failed. It's like he made some big moves, like signing major legislation, but didn't really hit the mark with the public. Youth and minority groups, especially Black and Hispanic Americans, seem to be the most disappointed. They used to support Biden more, but now many have shifted their views. Young people under 30 are particularly negative, with 6 in 10 thinking Biden's presidency was poor or terrible. Biden also took a hit with some of his policies. Take the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, for example. A lot of younger voters thought he handled that poorly. And when it comes to pocketbook issues like the cost of living and inflation, many Americans felt Biden didn't improve their situation. But not everything was negative. A significant number of Democrats still believed Biden did try to keep his promises, just fell short. And there were some areas where people thought he did okay, like on job creation and prescription drug costs. Overall, though, it seems like many Americans think Biden could have done more to improve the country. It's like they're saying, "We thought you'd do better, Mr. President. "
