Apple has rolled out a new subscription service called Apple Creator Studio. It bundles six popular creative apps together. The price is set at $12. 99 per month or $129 per year in the U. S. This bundle includes Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, Pixelmator Pro, Motion, Compressor, and MainStage. These apps are available on both Mac and iPad, except for MainStage, which is Mac-only. Subscribers will also get access to exclusive AI features and premium content. This content will be available across the bundled apps, as well as iWork apps like Numbers, Pages, and Keynote, and the Freeform app later this year. For example, Pixelmator Pro users will get a new Warp tool. Meanwhile, iWork apps will unlock a Content Hub and premium templates.
Apple plans to offer both subscription and one-time purchase versions of these apps. However, the details are still unclear. The Apple Creator Studio bundle will be available on the App Store starting January 28. New subscribers get a one-month free trial. Buyers of new Macs or qualifying iPads with A16, A17 Pro, or M-series chips get a three-month free trial. College students can subscribe for $2. 99 per month or $29. 99 per year. It's important to note that the individual apps will still be available for one-time purchase. Free versions of the iWork apps will continue to exist. However, only Apple Creator Studio subscribers will have access to some of the premium AI features and content.
