Arizona Senator Faces Military Review Over Troops Video

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has asked the Navy to look into Senator Mark Kelly's recent video message to troops. The request comes after Hegseth accused Kelly of wrongly wearing his military medals and claimed the video was part of a political scheme. The Navy has until December 10 to finish its review. The Defense Department had already said it would look into the matter. Hegseth has been very critical of Kelly, even mocking his uniform and calling the video a "politically-motivated influence operation. " Kelly, a retired Navy captain, has served his country for many years. He flew in combat missions and worked at NASA. He said he had no idea about the review until Hegseth tweeted about it. Hegseth claims Kelly's medals were not in the right order. But he did not mention that some of Kelly's medals show he was awarded for bravery in battle. The Defense Department said it would handle the matter fairly and follow military law. Kelly said he would not be scared into silence. He has served his country for a long time and will keep doing his job as a senator. He also said he would not let bullies stop him from holding the administration accountable.
