Art Showcase Opens for Local Creators

The sixth edition of the Cedar Arts Fest is now accepting entries from artists and vendors. The event will take place on Saturday, September 19th, between ten in the morning and three in the afternoon at the Leeman Education Center in Osage. The Fine Arts Council of Mitchell County, which backs the festival, wants to honor every maker in the area—from novices to seasoned pros. Exhibitors who wish to set up a stall will pay a fee of thirty‑five dollars. Those whose pieces are only displayed do not incur this cost.The festival is open to a wide range of media, including painting, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, woodworking, drawing, photography, and even railroad models.
