Atlantic, Earthquake, and Drought Expectations Turn Cautious
Environment expectations look cautious right now. This is a picture of what people seem to expect, not what has already been proven. The mood is skeptical, and the strongest agreement is on what people do not expect to see.
The Atlantic hurricane question has the clearest lean. People currently seem bearish on the first Atlantic hurricane forming during the early autumn window. That does not mean a storm cannot appear. It means the current mood is not leaning that way.
Worldwide earthquake expectations are more mixed. For a significant number of sizeable earthquakes in the same autumn window, people seem divided, with a small tilt against it. Another earthquake question looks more firmly against the event. That split matters because it shows caution without full agreement.
The coffee-growing season in Minas Gerais and the El Niño RONI question push the same general direction. Views on drought coverage are strongest against the lowest range and the following range up. The higher range is closer to a split, but the no side still looks slightly stronger. For the peak RONI during the El Niño, expectations are also strongly against lower and mid-range peaks.
