The big players want regulations to focus on bad actors, not proactively stop problems. They suggest rules should be relaxed, like letting AI learn freely from any data, even if it’s protected by copyright. This sounds fair, but remember, these systems aren’t humans; they’re complex software. The argument that facts should be free for any machine to use ignores the costs involved in creating that information.
