Blazers Add Youngblood to Two‑Way Roster
Portland, Oregon, USATue Mar 03 2026
The Portland Trail Blazers have signed 24‑year‑old guard Chris Youngblood to a two‑way contract, giving him another chance after an early exit from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Youngblood went undrafted in 2025 but earned a spot with OKC as a two‑way player. He played in 32 NBA games, averaging only 5. 4 minutes and 2 points per game, but shone in the G League with the OKC Blue. In ten outings there, he posted 23. 7 points, 6. 8 rebounds and 3. 6 assists per game while shooting nearly 47 percent from the floor.
All of Youngblood’s 50 possible NBA games were used, so the Thunder waived him in February. Portland’s move fills the team’s third two‑way slot, alongside guards Javonte Cooke and Caleb Love. Love will soon hit his 50‑game limit, after which he must return to the active roster. The Blazers also converted forward Sidy Cissoko’s two‑way deal into a standard contract earlier in the season.
With three two‑way spots and 15 standard contracts, Portland now has a full roster of 18 players. The addition of Youngblood provides depth and a young scorer who can contribute in both leagues.
