Blizzard Beach's First 2025 Closure: Freezing Fun to a Halt
Walt Disney World, Orlando, USASat Jan 04 2025
It's only a few days into 2025, and Disney's Blizzard Beach water park is already feeling the winter chill. On Saturday, January 4, Blizzard Beach will be closed due to cold weather. So, no splashing around on that day - sorry, aqua adventurers! The park is planning to open back up on Sunday, January 5, from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. , but if the temperature doesn't warm up, those plans might change too. It's not an unusual occurrence for Blizzard Beach to close due to cold weather, especially during winter months like we've seen this year.
Weather. com reports that Saturday's high will be 64°F and the low 44°F. As of now, Walt Disney World is sitting at a cool 48°F. Typhoon Lagoon remains closed for the season, and Universal's Volcano Bay water park is also closed for the day due to the cold weather but will reopen on Sunday.
A great perk for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel in 2025 is that they'll get free admission to either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon on their check-in day. So, if the weather cooperates, you could start your vacation with a big splash!
