Cri du Chat Syndrome (CdCS) is a rare condition caused by a missing piece on chromosome 5. This often leads to troubles with swallowing, talking, moving, and thinking clearly. Kids with CdCS have odd larynxes and struggle with mouth movements. This study explored how speech therapy could help fix these problems. Researchers looked at studies from the past 35 years that talked about therapies for CdCS. These therapies aimed to improve speaking, listening, and swallowing. After filtering through lots of research, they found that speech therapy really helps. It makes speech clearer and helps with mouth movements. Other special communication tools helped kids who couldn’t talk well join in more social activities. Plus, special feeding practices made eating safer and better. For the best results, it's important to start therapy early and involve the whole family.
