Andrea Iervolino, the Italian film producer behind iconic films like "Ferrari" and "Lamborghini: The Man Behind the Legend," has parted ways with his long-time business partner Monika Bacardi. This major shift marks the birth of his new film and TV production company, The Andrea Iervolino Company (TAIC). With this move, Iervolino has stepped down as president and CEO of ILBE, the studio he co-founded and led for over a decade. He will, however, remain available to assist with the transition to a new CEO.
The exact reasons for the split remain unclear, but Iervolino's statement highlights his focus on building TAIC, which will focus on producing new and exciting projects. One of the first projects in the pipeline is a biopic about the Maserati family, written and directed by Bobby Moresco. Another upcoming film is "Ferrari vs. Mercedes," also directed by Moresco, which was previously developed while Iervolino was at ILBE.
Iervolino's diverse entrepreneurial ventures extend beyond the film industry. He recently acquired a stake in Miami FC, a professional soccer club based in Florida. He's also been developing Tuscany Film Studios, a state-of-the-art filming facility in Italy, and running Tatatu S. p. A. , a blockchain-based platform.
The 18-year-old producer's remarkable journey began when he started setting up local websites in his hometown of Cassino, Italy, at just 13 years old. By 17, he had earned his first co-executive producer credit on the 2005 film "The Merchant of Venice," starring Al Pacino. ILBE was launched by Bacardi and Iervolino in Rome in 2011.
