Brooklyn Park Nights: Food, Music and Fresh Picks

Brooklyn, Michigan, USAWed Jun 24 2026
Brooklyn’s new public space at 115 Water St. turns into a lively hub every second Thursday, starting this month. The park hosts free shows and local vendors from 5 to 9 p. m. , inviting residents to bring chairs or blankets for a relaxed evening. June’s gathering welcomes a tasty treat from the Bussin’ Bowls food truck and live tunes by Iron Cowgirl Missy and Johnny Aimcrier. A local nonprofit, Grow Jackson, will also run a farmers market featuring produce from nearby farms. Artists and rotating vendors add extra color to the scene.
The idea kicked off in May, drawing over 400 guests for its first outing. The event has grown steadily, and the community’s enthusiasm is clear as more people show up each month. Brooklyn will keep this rhythm through September, with the next dates set for July 23, Aug. 27 and Sept. 24. Each evening follows the same 5 to 9 p. m. window, ensuring a consistent schedule for visitors. The village’s Corridor Improvement Authority coordinates the series, partnering with groups like the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and several credit unions. All updates are shared on the village’s Facebook page, keeping locals in the loop about upcoming activities.
