Captain America: A Movie, Not a Political Statement

Los Angeles, USAWed Feb 12 2025
Anthony Mackie is the star of the new Marvel movie "Captain America: Brave New World". The film was made before the 2024 election. But some people think it's about the current political situation in the US. It is not. The movie features Harrison Ford as Red Hulk/Thaddeus Ross, who is also the president in the movie. Some people thought that Ford's character was based on President Donald Trump. But the actors have said that this is not the case. "I hope we're over all the political fighting, " Mackie said in an interview. "Let's just go to the movies and relax. We could have made the character yellow, and it would have been a problem. " Ford also talked about the movie. "I wouldn't mix any movie with the reality of the world we're living in right now, " he said. He also said, "This isn't a movie about a good or bad president. It's just a story about a group of people in tight suits who can fly, as part of the wonderful imagination that the Marvel Cinematic Universe provides. It's primarily an escape from reality. " This is Mackie's first time playing Captain America on his own. His character, Sam Wilson, took over the role after Chris Evans left at the end of "Avengers: Endgame" in 2019. The actors have made it clear that the movie is not a political statement. It's just a fun story about superheroes. It is not a manual for the president.
