Celebrating California's Creative Minds: 2025 Industry Conference Highlights

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has shared the lineup for its 2025 Entertainment Industry Conference. This event, taking place on December 4th, will honor three industry leaders with the Commitment to California Award. These awards recognize individuals who have significantly contributed to the entertainment scene in California. Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg are among the honorees. They are being recognized for their work on "High Potential, " a popular TV series that has broken records. This show is filmed in Los Angeles and stars Kaitlin Olson. Goddard is the creator and executive producer of the series, while Esberg is the president of their production company, Goddard Textiles. Their company is also working on several other projects, including a series for Hulu and a feature film for Amazon MGM. Abe Sylvia is another recipient of the Commitment to California Award. He is known for creating and producing the comedy series "Palm Royale, " which has received critical acclaim and multiple Emmy nominations. Sylvia has also worked on other notable projects, such as "George & Tammy" and "The Eyes of Tammy Faye. " The conference will feature various discussions and presentations. Philip Sokoloski will present the FilmLA Production Report. There will also be a conversation with Michelle Khare, a daredevil and content creator, moderated by Jenelle Riley. Additionally, a panel discussion titled "Looking Ahead: What's Next for the Entertainment Industry" will be moderated by Michael Schneider. This panel will include industry experts from Warner Bros. Pictures, Blumhouse Television, UTA, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Roku Media. The event will also feature Jerry Neuman, Board Chair of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Steve Nissen, President & CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and Dea Lawrence, Co-President and Publisher of Variety.
