Channel Drops Two Sports Studio Shows

New York, USASat Nov 07 2026

The sports channel tied to the Mets had a rough day. It fired a lot of workers. It pulled two big studio shows. The news broke sports media folks. The site stopped running Mets stories. It did not show them anymore. The main page pushed folks to stream. The channel kept some small sports shows alive.

The network dropped two well known programs. One was a daily highlight show. The other was a baseball talk show. A company statement said a review came first. The shows were then taken off the air. People on staff said thanks. The network said covering New York sports was key. It said it wanted good stuff for fans.

Some people got the news they were laid off. Sal Licata and Eamon McAnaney were two of them. The network started way back in 2006. The Wilpon family and the Katz family led it. The Wilpon family sold the Mets in 2020. The network looked into a sale over a year ago. No sale made it happen.

The network said it would still run Mets and Jets pregame shows. It would still run postgame shows too. It would still run Mets Hot Stove. It would still run a radio simulcast. The schedule changed after the cuts. Fans now had fewer studio shows.
