Cheap AI Tools for Small Shops in Central Asia

Bukhara region, UzbekistanSun Oct 25 2026

Small shops and local businesses keep many developing countries running. In places like Central Asia, owners often lack money and tools to try new tech. Artificial intelligence sounds expensive, but some types are cheap and fast to set up. Researchers wanted to know if these tools actually help small businesses grow.

A team looked at the Bukhara region in Uzbekistan. They used information from 2010 to 2025. That is sixteen years of records. They studied eight different signs of small business health. Using math models called ARIMA, they guessed what might happen by 2030. The numbers suggest small business output could rise about sixteen percent by then.

Two things stood out as linked to long-term growth: using digital tools and getting special credit support. The study also named three AI areas that fit tight budgets: machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI. Predictions for human skills were very accurate, while output forecasts were just okay.

This does not prove AI causes success. It only shows a connection. Still, the findings give local leaders a practical place to start when making AI rules for small businesses. Readers should ask whether cheap tech really fits their own community before copying it.
