Cheltenham Festival Lights Up With Stars and Racing Thrills

The Cheltenham Festival is a top event in Britain’s sports calendar, drawing fans, photographers and famous faces to the Gloucestershire town.
On Gold Cup Day, the crowd cheered as the most coveted trophy was fought over. Harry Redknapp entered a strong contender, The Jukebox Man, but Gaelic Warrior proved unbeatable. The victory gave jockey Paul Townend a record fifth win in the race, making him the most successful rider in its history.

The Champion Hurdle was won by Lossiemouth, who met owner Rich Ricci in the winner’s enclosure. Owner JP McManus celebrated two victories on his 75th birthday, while Willie Mullins and Nicky Henderson each secured two wins on the first day.
