Chicago is in for more snow, just when people thought they'd seen the last of it. A winter weather advisory is in place for the entire area, starting Monday afternoon. This means more snow and slippery roads, especially during the evening rush hour. The weather isn't done with Chicago yet. After a big storm over Thanksgiving dropped over 11 inches of snow and caused flight cancellations, another round is on its way. The National Weather Service says the advisory starts at 2 p. m. and lasts until midnight. Monday morning brought freezing fog, making it hard to see and roads slippery in some spots. By 3 p. m. , snow will start moving in from the west, covering the whole Chicago area by late afternoon. This means a messy commute for many. The snow won't be heavy, but it's coming at a bad time. Expect 2 to 3 inches in the northern counties, with up to 4 inches south of I-80. Visibility will be low, making driving tricky. Temperatures will drop too. Monday's high is 29 degrees, and it will feel even colder overnight. By Thursday, things will get much colder. So, if you're in Chicago, be ready for more snow and slippery roads. It's not a lot, but it's enough to make commuting a hassle.
