Chicago’s Twelve Dates Ends This Weekend, Plus Cirque Shows and Santa Breakfast

It’s the final countdown for "The Twelve Dates of Christmas" at Chicago Street Theatre in Valparaiso. This hilarious play follows Mary’s crazy dating adventures throughout a year. With just two shows left (Friday and Saturday at 8 p. m. ), you can catch the laughs for $22 or $20 for seniors, students, and military. Over at the Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan, Cirque Dreams Holidaze is back with its magical show. This Broadway-style production mixes circus arts and holiday favorites like "Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree. " Shows are at 7 p. m. on Dec. 14 and 5 p. m. on Dec. 15. Tickets start at $25. Art lovers should check out the Annual Members’ Exhibit at Chesterton Art Center. This free event showcases local artists' work in various media. The Artists’ Reception is this Saturday from noon to 2 p. m. Santa’s making an appearance at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster. The Women’s Association of Northwest Indiana is hosting a breakfast with Santa, complete with a kids' show and themed trees. Tickets are $30 for adults and $25 for kids. Elvis tribute artist Jimmy Holmes is bringing holiday cheer to Hobart with an Elvis-themed Christmas concert. Catch the show at Art Theater on Dec. 14 at 2 p. m. Tickets start at $29.
