The Kansas City Chiefs, fresh off a Super Bowl victory, faced the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4 and barely managed a 17-10 win. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes wasn't thrilled with the team's performance, admitting that the defense was on point and they had a close call. The Chiefs started off down 10-0 and battled back, but this isn't the first time they've had a shaky start this season. Mahomes shared his thoughts, saying, "Teams are just playing real good defense right now. " He's looking ahead, though, and hopes the team can get better each game. Despite the rough start, he knows wins matter most. "Yeah, we need to cut down on turnovers," Mahomes confessed, taking responsibility for the errors. The offensive struggles were clear in the first half, with two turnovers in the first quarter and penalties throughout the game. Mahomes isn't the only one noticing the inconsistency. A Chiefs linebacker chimed in: "We've got to be more consistent. It's clear the team isn't happy with the performance. " This isn't the first time the Chiefs have had trouble scoring. In their Week 3 game against the Atlanta Falcons, the offensive play wasn't smooth either. Fans and defense both picked up on the inconsistencies, and the team is slowly but surely fixing these issues. With each fumble, the team learns. They’re getting stronger every game. "Even if it's tough now, we'll be ready for the playoffs," Mahomes said. The Championship might be in their sights again!
