Chimney Rock Village: Weathering the Storm Together

A strong storm recently swept through Chimney Rock Village, leaving behind a trail of destruction. Homes and businesses were hit hard, but the tight-knit community isn't giving up without a fight. Site coordinator Payne is leading the charge to rebuild, determined not to let the storm chase them away. This isn't the first time Chimney Rock Village has faced adversity—the town has been welcoming visitors since the late 1800s and has always bounced back. Mayor Peter O’Leary, who moved there in 1990 and later started Bubba O’Leary’s General Store, sees this as a chance to come back stronger than ever.However, some business owners like Nick Sottile are uncertain about their future. His inn and restaurant took a big hit, and it's unclear when or if they can reopen. But the community is banding together, with volunteers pitching in to help with recovery efforts. They’re hopeful that support will come in to bring back their beloved town.
