China’s Clean Tech Exports Surge as Global Energy Shifts
ChinaSat Apr 18 2026
China has seen a sharp rise in the export of clean‑energy products during March, showing that its manufacturers are capitalising on a worldwide shift toward alternative power sources. The surge comes as conventional energy supplies face uncertainty, partly due to the conflict in Iran.
The biggest jumps were in lithium‑ion batteries and electric vehicles, which grew by 34 % and 53 % year over year. Solar panels also experienced a significant increase, rising by 80 %. All three categories outpaced February’s figures, indicating a steady upward trend.
These numbers suggest that China is becoming an even more influential player in the global clean‑energy market. As demand for green technology rises, Chinese exporters are stepping up to meet the need.
The data was released by China’s General Administration of Customs, confirming that the country’s clean‑tech industry is thriving amid worldwide energy disruptions.
