Cloudy Skies and Rainy Days Ahead for Cape Cod

This week on Cape Cod, the weather isn't going to make many people happy. Cloudy skies and steady rain will stick around until the weekend kicks in with a heavier downpour. The National Weather Service says temperatures will drop below 65°F tonight before bouncing back into the upper 70s tomorrow. While most of Wednesday will stay mostly cloudy, there’s a small chance afternoon and evening storms could pop up.Temperatures will dip again Wednesday night, settling in the upper 50s, before climbing back into the upper 60s on Thursday. Thursday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies, but don’t rule out late-night showers or thunderstorms. By Thursday night, it’ll cool down to the low 50s, then warm up slightly to the upper 60s on Friday. Friday will stay partly sunny, but the real change comes Friday night around 9 p. m. , when heavier rain moves in, dropping overnight lows to the mid-50s. Saturday will bring more rain, though it should ease up by afternoon. There’s still a chance of showers lingering into Saturday night, but Sunday morning looks clear. The pattern fits a typical coastal weather shift, where moisture from the Atlantic fuels frequent changes.
