Cobra Kai Star in Biting Incident at Fan Event
Puyallup, USATue Jun 24 2025
A recent event at Summer Con in Puyallup, Washington, took a strange turn when "Cobra Kai" actor Martin Kove allegedly bit his co-star Alicia Hannah-Kim. The incident happened during a VIP meet-and-greet, where Hannah-Kim approached Kove to say hello. Things escalated quickly when Kove grabbed her arm and bit down hard enough to leave a mark that was turning blue and bruised.
Hannah-Kim reacted by pulling away and rushing back to her table. She later told a police officer about the incident, showing the visible bite mark on her arm. When her husband confronted Kove about the behavior, Kove reportedly denied any wrongdoing and became aggressive in his response.
The police officer involved in the incident spoke with Kove, who admitted to biting Hannah-Kim but claimed it was all in good fun. He mentioned that they often play-fought on the set of "Cobra Kai. " Despite the apology, the situation left Hannah-Kim unsettled. She chose not to press charges but wanted the incident documented in case it happened again.
This isn't the first time Kove has played a tough guy on screen. He reprised his role as John Kreese, the antagonist from "The Karate Kid" franchise, in the Netflix series "Cobra Kai. " Hannah-Kim played Kim Da-Eun in the show, which ran for six seasons from 2018 to 2025.
The incident raises questions about boundaries and professionalism, even in casual settings. While Kove's intention might have been to joke around, the outcome was far from funny for Hannah-Kim. It serves as a reminder that actions, even if meant lightly, can have serious consequences.
