Colorado Weather: Storms and Heatwave on the Horizon
Colorado, USAMon Jun 16 2025
The weather in Southern Colorado is set to be quite the rollercoaster. First up, severe storms are expected to hit this afternoon and evening, especially in El Paso and Pueblo County. These storms could bring some serious hail and strong winds. So, if you're out and about, keep an eye on the sky. Temperatures will be a bit cooler than Saturday, with highs in the mid-80s in Colorado Springs and the low to mid-90s in Pueblo and the Eastern Plains.
The next day, things will dry up a bit, but there's still a chance for a few showers and maybe a thunderstorm or two in the afternoon. The heat is expected to crank up, with temperatures near record-breaking levels. Colorado Springs could see low 90s, while Pueblo and the Plains might hit the high 90s or even triple digits. It's going to be hot, so stay hydrated, slather on the sunscreen, and try to stay indoors as much as possible.
Looking ahead, a weak cold front is expected to move in, bringing temperatures down to the 70s in Colorado Springs. This front will also bring more moisture, increasing the chances of thunderstorms and possibly severe weather. After that, things will dry out again, and temperatures will climb back up to the mid-90s by the end of the work week. But be warned, the fire danger will be high.
The weather is always changing, and it's important to stay informed. Keep an eye on the forecast and be prepared for whatever comes your way. Whether it's storms, heatwaves, or anything in between, being ready is the best way to stay safe. So, stay tuned, stay informed, and stay safe.
