Blue Hill, MA, USAFri Jun 19 2026
Blue Hill is set to host a full week of celebrations that welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. The festivities start on Saturday, June 20, with a gathering that mixes faith, creativity and music. Everyone is invited to join in the events, all free of charge.
The opening ceremony takes place at St. Francis by the Sea Episcopal Church. At 10:30 a. m. , an interfaith service invites people from every faith to share in a moment of reflection and hope. The church welcomes all attendees, regardless of age or belief.
A few minutes later, the Pride Festival kicks off in front of the First Congregational Church. From 11 a. m. , vendors line the parking lot, offering food and crafts. Music plays in the streets while dancers perform on site. Non‑profit booths provide educational resources, and portraits from a national storytelling project are displayed throughout the area.
The parade starts at 2 p. m. from the same spot, weaving through downtown Blue Hill and looping around the post office parking lot. The route ends at Devil’s Half Acre, where people can dance and enjoy refreshments. Those who attend the parade receive a special discount on drinks at the after‑party, which continues in the same location into the evening.
On Monday, June 22, a lecture on queer art is held at the Blue Hill Public Library. From 6 to 7 p. m. , speakers discuss how art reflects and shapes LGBTQ+ identities. The library partners with Peninsula Pride to host the event.
The week concludes on Sunday, June 28, with an all‑ages drag party at the new Astro venue in Brooklin. From 5 to 9 p. m. , live music, a pop‑up design shop, food and drinks are available. A glitter bar, costume corner, and other fun activities add to the inclusive atmosphere.
The entire program is open to everyone, encouraging community members to participate in a celebration that highlights diversity, creativity and togetherness. For more details, visit the event website.
