A big court decision happened recently. Writer E. Jean Carroll won her case against Donald Trump. In 2023, a jury said Trump had to pay her $5 million. They thought he sexually abused her in the 1990s and then said bad things about her in public. Trump didn't like this and tried to appeal, saying the judge wasn't fair. But the appeals court didn't agree with him. They said the judge did everything right. Trump's team said the American people want this case to end. Carroll's lawyer was happy with the decision. The case is about what happened in a department store in 1996. Trump said he didn't do it. He also said the judge let in bad evidence, like a tape where Trump talked about touching women without consent. The court didn't think the judge made mistakes. Trump is still fighting another case where he might have to pay $83 million.
