Dino Drama: Will Jurassic World Rebirth Roar or Flop?

The dinosaur saga continues with a new adventure, Jurassic World Rebirth, hitting theaters. It's been three years since the last Jurassic World movie and over three decades since the original Jurassic Park. But will audiences still be excited to see these prehistoric creatures on the big screen? The movie opens on July 2nd, just in time for the Fourth of July weekend. Experts predict it could make between $100 million and $125 million in its first five days. However, it faces tough competition from other big films like F1: The Movie. Rebirth is also opening in over 80 countries worldwide at the same time as its North American release. Gareth Edwards, who directed Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is at the helm of Rebirth. The script is by David Koepp, who also wrote the original Jurassic Park. The movie stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey. The plot follows a team sent to a research facility that once supplied the original Jurassic Park. They find a shipwrecked family and encounter some of the most dangerous creatures left behind. The cast also includes Rupert Friend, Manuel Garcia-Rulf, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, and Audrina Miranda. Longtime producers Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are involved, along with executive producers Steven Spielberg and Denis Stewart. The previous Jurassic World movies all made over $1 billion worldwide and had bigger opening weekends than Rebirth is expected to have. However, Rebirth was cheaper to make, with a budget of $225 million before marketing. To promote the film, Scarlett Johansson hosted Saturday Night Live in May. In June, an exclusive clip from Rebirth went viral on TikTok, getting 7. 9 million views.
