Discovering Hidden Tricks of a New App!
Wed Feb 05 2025
Ever heard of Apple Invites? It is a convenient app for people who organise events on a regular basis. This app is great for people who host book clubs, happy hours, or even work meetings. One of its super useful features is the ability to quickly duplicate past events.
Here is how you do it. First, open the event you want to copy. Next, tap the three dots at the top right corner and hit Duplicate. This is great for starting a new invite but remember that the guest list from the original event won't copy over so you need to add those manually. The rest of the details, like the date, time, and location, will be preserved. This feature makes it easy to create similar events without starting from scratch. A great timesaver!
Apple Invites also lets you customise your notifications. You can turn on or off the alerts for the events you are holding, invited to or even the recommendations that Apple gives you. There are five types of notifications you can choose from. If push notifications are not your thing, you can also choose to get your updates via email. In other words, you can get notifications for things that actually matter to you, and ignore the rest.
Privacy is taken seriously by Apple in this app. You have the power to approve RSVPs before they are confirmed, and you can hide key details until your guests confirm their attendance. The app also allows you to make one-time-use invites for specific guests or a generic link that works for anyone. Plus, your personal contact information stays hidden from other guests, and you can choose how your name and image are displayed.
For those who like to plan, Apple Invites lets you draft invites in advance and save them. When you’re ready, you can review and send them with a few taps. And if you want to schedule an event for a later date, the scheduling features in Apple’s Messages and Mail apps are there to help you out.
