Does Hand Preference Shape Your Personality?

Ever wondered if being left-handed or right-handed affects your personality? A big study with over 26, 000 teens from England and Wales tried to find out.
Most research on this topic has been small and didn't consider differences between boys and girls. This time, researchers looked at a huge group of 13- to 15-year-olds. They used a short version of a personality test and asked about hand preference.
The results showed something interesting. Teens who weren't right-handed tended to score higher on a trait called toughmindedness. They also scored lower on extraversion and neuroticism. In simple terms, non-right-handed teens seemed more independent, less outgoing, and more emotionally stable.
But what does this mean? It's not clear yet. The study only shows a connection, not cause and effect. Maybe being left-handed or ambidextrous influences personality. Or maybe certain personalities are more common in non-right-handed people. More research is needed to understand this better.
One thing to note: the study focused on teens. Personality changes as we grow, so results might be different for adults. Also, the study didn't look at other factors that might influence personality, like environment or upbringing.
