Dolphins in Danger: Amazon's Lakes Heat Up

Fish populations also suffered, and a phytoplankton bloom turned the lake red, indicating stress in the algae. The researchers also found that Amazonian lakes have been warming at a rate of about 0. 6 degrees Celsius per decade, higher than the global average.
