Oxidative damage is a key factor in how PFAS might lead to cancers in organs like the thyroid and digestive system. The kidneys are especially at risk with prolonged exposure. The study mainly looked at what happens naturally, but it’s clear that we need to do something now. These chemicals have been around for a while, and their effects are far from harmless. Stricter rules and safer alternatives are needed to solve this issue.
